ReplyDeleteLooks delicious...but, did you peel them? Sometimes I find peeling is necessary and other times not. What's your take?
ReplyDeleteHey Nick- I think pine nuts would be great. I also think marcona almonds would work, or OH! black walnuts! (neither of which would help with your allergies). Unfortunatly, none of them works with my budget right now, so I have to settle for walnuts.
ReplyDeleteCulinarian - I don't think I've ever peeled beets (mostly because of the mess), and I've never had any problems. Of course, I also eat the peel on my baked potato too.
I am SO going to make this - it has my husband's name written all over it. YUM!
